I have been using a disk for over 3 years and I thought that I would upgrade to a "better" quality one. The quality is not the problem it is the SIZE. I wear an XS, and I am not that tall and this does NOTHING for me. I had the worst period experience in years. (And yes I did use, and inserted it correctly). If you could have an option for a bigger size I would definitely try it again but as for now this was a waste of my money. The only thing I got was a container and I will be using it for ANOTHER disc. I added a product example, please take note!
I have been using the cup for about 5 years now, and can't recommend it enough. There has been way less trouble with my periods and it holds for much longer, my only real struggle with it was that I couldn't really get it out easily enough. When baobabe came out with this disc I was very excited to be able to have the same product but with an easier way of removing it. However, on my first day it leaked immensely. I'm sure I just have to figure it out, but it would really be nice if baobabe could give a more extensive explanation of how to use it or how it should be sitting. Giving three stars because I also didn't receive instructions on how to sterilise it in the cup. Please help, I want it to be a success 🙏🏼
I received my disc mid cycle and I used it immediately (obviously after sterilising).
Easy to insert, and easy to clean. I think the real test will be day 1 and two - but I am looking forward to seeing how my new disc performs. Sooo much better than tampons!
I am autistic and the sensation of pads and tampons on and in my body made my periods torture for the first decade. Then came period cups and I loved it, except that they made a vaccuum in my body and were a mess for me to insert and remove but I was just so glad I had an alternative, then came menstrual discs. Dear Lord, I cannot promote this product enough! No vaccuum, higher volume, easy insertion and removal, less mess, hella discreet, I can sleep through the night even on my heavier flow days and not worry about leakage, I can even have sex with this product while on my period. I am here for this and walk around converting every single woman I can! GET ONE! It takes a little learning and then a happier, healthier, less exhausted and careful, even a more eco-friendly existence follows! Just get one!
